Interim Supply Chain Manager

Our Client is a well-known SME life sciences company with its unique technologies already delivering therapeutic product candidates that are in the clinic.  Other product offerings of a non-therapeutic nature are increasingly being used in academic and commercial research and are marketed worldwide by a major partner.

The growing complexity of the company’s business, together with the nature of its products, has triggered the need for an Interim Supply Chain Manager.

This is a new role with its key purpose being to instigate, own and run high quality and best practice Shipping and Inventory Control processes and to ensure that the company meets its deliverables efficiently, within agreed timelines and budgets.

In addition, the successful candidate will need to ensure fellow employees understand the processes involved and provide training as required.

Candidates will be educated to degree level and be able to demonstrate experience of shipping, clinical trial supplies management and inventory control within a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.

This is a hands-on role that will involve interaction with a wide range of internal colleagues and external partners and customers.  Excellent interpersonal skills will be demanded.

The company is looking for the successful candidate to start work as soon as possible, with the duration of the assignment extending through to the end of 2014.  For the right person, there is a genuine possibility of a subsequent transition into a position of permanent employment

If this opportunity is a good fit for you and you wish to contribute to the ongoing growth and development of an exciting company, then please contact Geoff Newman at Interea as soon as possible.
