Interim Operations Director : Rome

Our client is a highly regarded manufacturer of biopharmaceuticals, for both clinical studies and commercialisation, serving both its own parent company as well as a number of other external partners. The role is a senior one – namely that of Interim Operations Director – with full responsibility for ensuring that all day to day operational functions (development, manufacturing, QC, engineering, planning etc.) meet the agreed deliverables, costs/budgets and timelines. 

Until such time as our client has identified someone to occupy the position on a permanent basis, responsibilities will rest with the Interim Operations Director. The assignment will be located very close to Rome and will commence in November, for an initial duration of 3 months, probably 2-3 days per week. Extension is possible, as is a transition to a permanent position.

Candidates must have a proven record of successfully occupying such a position in the past and be able to point to genuine leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
