Interim Global Strategic Marketing : Oncology
One of the most interesting, exciting and challenging assignments that Interea has handled for some time. Our Client is a major global player within the oncology sector, offering a wide range of products, services and solutions on a genuinely global basis, and is determined to develop a market-leading position across a wide front.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that focus on maximising the business performance of our Client within oncology. Components of the plan may include qualitative and quantitative assessments of key market segments, competitive analysis, identification of new business opportunities, formulation of integrated disease-based solutions across our Client’s businesses and regions.
Candidates need to have an excellent understanding of the oncology marketplace with a solid record of commercial achievement within it. Familiarity with aspects of screening, diagnosis and management of the disease would be a distinct advantage. A proven ability to think and operate at a strategic level is critical, as is evidence of having the personal skill-set to establish credibility amongst a wide range of internal colleagues that will result in our Client being better able to combine the science of oncology with a business focus. Our Client’s need is for an experienced and senior person, able to combine real initiative with an understanding that success in this role will result in increasing sales and profit only in the medium to long term.
The assignment will be for an initial period of 6-8 months, 5 days per week. Based to the West of London, but with significant overseas travel. The assignment is scheduled to commence in October, but there is a distinct possibility that this date can be brought forward.
For the right person, this interim role could well transition into a position of permanent employment.
