To ensure successful product launch and subsequent sales growth, the need exists for a Head of Manufacturing and Logistics with deep experience of production and global distribution of medical device products.

The individual will be accountable for the entire supply chain management from raw materials through manufacturing (via third party contractors) to distribution to customers for all products and markets.

Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Developing the manufacturing and logistics function in line with the growing needs of the business
  • Sourcing and managing of all manufacturing and distribution subcontractors
  • Ensuring product manufacture and distribution meets all regulatory requirements
  • Development of supply chain strategies that will continuously improve supply chain efficiency and improve product margin

Candidates will have a strong background in supply chain management for medical devices servicing global markets, and will have experience of audits from both FDA and MHRA. Proven experience of selecting, auditing and managing relationships with outsourced third party contractors is essential  as is an ability to work closely with cross functional and multidisciplinary teams.

Experience of working in small, entrepreneurial stage companies would be a real advantage.

This position, ideally permanent, will report to the company’s COO.  The job holder will be expected to play a key role in the company’s growth strategy and plans.
