Head of Business Development (Permanent)
Our client is a privately-held, venture backed business that has genuine expertise in encapsulation technology that enables valuable active products to be protected, delivered and released where and when required.Such technology has the potential to be of real interest to a wide range of industry sectors including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, detergents, cosmetics and fragrances.
The new position of Head of Business Development has been created – a key role that will be fundamental to the successful implementation of the company’s growth strategy, and which will be responsible for the development of the company’s commercial presence in a number of target sectors.
Reporting to the Company’s CEO, key responsibilities are as follows :-
- Relationship building with target “enabler” companies in identified application areas
- Analysis of potential markets and opportunities, including primary / secondary market research
- Development of forecasts for target sectors in order to value and define deal structures
- Negotiation of proof of concept, joint development and licensing agreements
- Identification and due diligence of potential in-licensing technologies
Candidates must possess :-
- An impressive deal sheet that demonstrates ownership and closure of successful licensing, collaboration and distribution deals
- Commercial understanding of common legal agreements used in business development
- Experience gained in the pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, fragrances or household sector
