Case History 3

The Client

A US pharmaceutical company, listed on NASDAQ and engaged in the discovery and development of small molecules and recombinant peptides.

The Need

Interim VP Manufacturing

A search had commenced for an individual to occupy this role permanently, but progress was slow. There was critical work to be done in the short-term with the company’s lead product.

The brief to Interea was to provide a mature and internationally-focused Interim Manager who was immediately available, and who had proven biologics experience. Specific responsibilities included identification, appointment and oversight of a number of European-based CMO’s.

Assignment Dimensions

Initial duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension or of becoming permanent. Intensity likely to be 4-5 days per week.

Outcome

A shortlist of 3 individuals was reviewed face-to-face with the client within 7 days of the initial brief. Client interviews both in London and the US quickly led to the appointment of a preferred candidate.

Feedback was positive from day 1, and at the end of the assignment, the Interim Manager accepted a permanent position with the Client.
