After 25 years, it’s time to say thank you !

It was Summer last year when Interea International celebrated its 25th Birthday, having been established in 1998 to provide a pioneering new service to life-science companies, be they biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device or diagnostic – no matter what their size and no matter where they were located.

Interim Management was the name of the service and Interea was proud to lead the way in offering a real solution to companies in which an interim need had emerged for senior level high quality individuals, willing and able to step in at short notice and to put to good use their experience and expertise.

It mattered not whether the interim assignment was for 3 months or 12 months, or whether it was full-time or part-time – it was Interea’s job to identify top quality people and then introduce these candidates to the client.

Life Science companies were quick to become aware and to understand exactly what Interim Management was, how it all worked, what it cost and how to access it. Interea was proud to play a prominent part in that process and to then remain as one of the leading players in the continued development of the interim management sector as a whole.

Time marches on however, and my wife Ros and I have recently decided to make a change and see for ourselves what full-time or part-time retirement feels like.

It is appropriate therefore to put on record our deep and sincere thanks to :-

  • All of the clients we have had the honour and pleasure of serving over the last 25 years – whether you have put your trust in us just once or done so many times. We hope you think we did a good job.
  • All of the Interim Managers who registered with Interea over the years – who trusted us to represent you well with the aim of finding interim opportunities that were a good fit for you. Without you, there would have been no Interea.
  • The many companies, trade associations and individuals whose expertise and support over the years has been invaluable and much appreciated. BIA, OBN, Bionow, APS, EMIG, One Nucleus, Gallagher, Lawspeed, Toast Design and Jon Richardson. A special mention to our sons, Craig Wallace and Andy Wallace, to whom we will be forever grateful.

We hope the life sciences industry in the UK will continue to thrive and that the contribution to its success from those involved in interim management will remain highly valued.
